This 7th edition of Pray and Play was somewhat unique. Chairpersons selected for the event had passed away recently while in their prime but were alive and well in the minds of all those present at St-Paul’s on that beautiful Sunday of June 3.

Few people have been cheered so enthusiastically in the past!

And our friends up there had a gift for the golfers: no black flies!

Last year’s winners -Barbara Armstrong (with Kai and Aubrey), Maureen Cameron and Angie McLeod (absent) are thus seen in this picture with Hugh Mitchell, who led the service and our own lay reader Wendy Crooks.

This fundraiser is a major source of revenue for our Church thanks to “Percy the Fabulous Beggar” who not only personally drafts the foursomes but also catches an ever larger volley of sponsors.
